UPM BioVerno is a fuel made from crude tall oil, a residue of pulp production. Our biofuels have been developed by UPM in Finland and are produced at the UPM Biorefinery in Lappeenranta, Finland.
When replacing fossil fuels UPM BioVerno fuels reduce greenhouse gas and tailpipe emissions in traffic and heavy-duty transport. Our advanced biofuels do not compete for raw materials or land used in food production or cause additional felling of trees. Drop-in UPM BioVerno diesel suits all diesel engines and UPM BioVerno naphtha is an excellent biocomponent for gasoline.
UPM BioVerno naphtha may also be used to replace fossil raw materials in plastics and other chemical industry products.
